About Us
Bobos Beans was designed and created in Vancouver, BC by Georgia Martin and Karim Nuruddin. The idea originally came from an art show Georgia put on, where the first Bobo was born.

Over the next almost two years, Georgia and Karim worked on developing the product by hand in their studio in Vancouver before eventually deciding to move production to factories. During that time, they developed multiple patterns by hand for the different sizes, along with inner covers, materials, and construction techniques before feeling comfortable sharing the product with the world.
They reached out to 100+ factories, looking for foam offcuts from other production lines to fill the Bobos, as well as factories that could produce small-batch custom woven materials.

Sustainability, thoughtfulness, and the lifecycle of the product are very important to us. This is why every Bobo comes with a 100% cotton, tightly woven twill outer cover with a yarn-dyed woven stripe pattern. We wanted the covers to be washable and repairable so they can last as long as possible.
Inside, you’ll find a 100% cotton inner cover with a small zipper that holds the repurposed polyurethane foam offcuts. This allows people to add or remove foam if needed.

Bobos Beans is truly a labour of love created by two friends, and we’re so excited to share it with the world.
